Today, Kelli and I became the proud new owners of a 1979 Watkins 36 aft cabin sloop.  We love the below deck layout of this boat.  It is configured to offer mom & dad a cabin, and individual cabins for 2 kids (ok, the kids just get berths).  No, we don’t have kids yet, but Kelli has that in our plans.  My plan was just to get a boat. 

This 32 year old boat is dirty but solid, functional yet stylish, and large enough for a family but small enough for a couple.  It will require a lot cleaning, some basic maintenance and also some major reworking and outfitting.  That is where we hope we can help you. 

We will show you what the boat looked like at the time of purchase and provide plenty of pics as we offload it, clean everything and document any projects/repairs/maintenance we perform.

Hopefully something here will interest and even help you with your boat.  We plan to shove off for years of crusing toward the end of 2013.  Nice to have you here – hang on!
